This original artwork is the first of a series of handmade mosaic creations. The art was inspired by The Psalms, specifically Psalm 40it’s never pleasantto find yourself in a pit of despairbut we can hold on to the hope that He will lift us up and change our tune.

Italways amazes me when I look back at the pits Ive found myself in. Every time I learned something, gained a new skill, a new perspective, or some kind of benefit that I would have never encounteredwithout the struggle. He puts a new song in my heart.

Psalm 40: 1-3
I waited patientlyfor theLord;
he turned to me and heard my cry.
He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
out of the mudand mire;
he set my feeton a rock
and gave me a firm place to stand.
He put a new songin my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear theLord
and put their trustin him.

A Vividly-Colored Mosaic of200pieces ofreclaimed piano wood makes up the backdrop foraheart-shaped collage. The heart collage has the original text from vintage Bibles and Hymnals. Psalm 40 and classic hymns are the subject of the decoupage collage heart.
